Awards of the regional competition "Exporter of the Year in the Tyumen Region in 2020" have found their heroes
15 June 2020
On May 28, 2020, for the first time in an online format on the Tyumensky Vremya TV channel, as part of a special edition of the Evening Hashtag program, a solemn ceremony was held to award the winners of the regional competition "Exporter of the Year in the Tyumen Region in 2020"

This competition was organized and conducted by the Center for Export Support of the Investment Agency of the Tyumen Region Foundation with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Tyumen Region.

12 enterprises-exporters of the region took part in the competition, which competed on live television for the title of the best in five competitive nominations:

- Exporter of the Year in the Industry;

- "Exporter of the Year in the Agro-Industrial Complex";

- "Exporter of the Year in the Service Sector";

- Exporter of the Year in the Field of High Technologies;

- "Breakthrough of the Year".

Leonid Ostroumov, Director of the Department for Investment Policy and State Support of Entrepreneurship of the Tyumen Region, noted: Every year, more and more enterprises present their products for export. When we first held our competition and selected the best exporters at the end of 2017, we had only 161 exporters, and at the end of 2019, there were already 218 exporters in our region. Moreover, I am glad that the number of exporters among small and medium-sized businesses is growing - their number has grown to 143 .

In addition to public recognition, each exporter received a regional award in the amount of 150 thousand rubles, established by the Government of the region to support and develop the export-oriented Tyumen business.

Thus, according to the winner of the competition in the Breakthrough of the Year nomination, General Director of NordEco Evgeny Skvortsov, the funds won will be used to complete the creation of another unique ecological product for health from the Siberian mushroom - chaga, whose healing properties have been known for many centuries. The head of "NordEco" expressed hope that the new product will find its buyer not only in our region, but also abroad.

Andrey Kartashov, head of the Tyumen Region Export Support Center, is also confident in strengthening the position of Tyumen exports: Despite the dryness of the numbers that determined the winners in each nomination, the work of any Tyumen exporter is important for us, because the crisis we are living through is not only a difficult period for the world economy, but also an opportunity to see and recognize the prospects for the growth of companies in the export direction. For this reason, we urge you to apply for the services of our Center now. Our joint work will certainly lead to an increase in the number of participants in the competition next year, and hence to an increase in export results for the entire region as a whole. "

As a reminder, the Export Support Center provides the following types of support:
  • consulting services with the involvement of third-party specialized experts;
  • educational projects on foreign economic activity;
  • acceleration;
  • holding business events;
  • assistance in placing SMEs on the international electronic trading platform;
  • assistance in establishing international relations.
The online television ceremony ended and exporters returned to their jobs in a positive mood.

And it was there, in the production areas of exporting enterprises, that the participants and winners of the competition were awarded with well-deserved diplomas and certificates already offline.
