A delegation of the Tyumen region headed by Governor Alexander Moore arrived in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The work program of the head of the region began with a business breakfast under the auspices of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Unlocking the Potential.

The leaders of 14 subjects of Russia and 14 regions of Uzbekistan participated in it. Representatives of the two countries discussed possible areas of cooperation and projects in the areas of construction of wholesale distribution centers, industry, IT-technologies. The business breakfast was held on the margins of the First Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan with the participation of the heads of state, which takes place in Tashkent.

In conclusion, the signing of official documents. One of them is an agreement between the government of the Tyumen region and the hokimiyat of the Tashkent region on cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural spheres, which was signed by Governor Alexander Moor and Hokim Gulomjon Ibrahimov.

We are interested in the development of cooperation in various areas. From specific projects for which contacts have already been made, this is the creation of a wholesale distribution center so that the agricultural products of Uzbekistan come to us and go to other regions of Russia. Tyumen region has a favorable geographical location, developed transport infrastructure. In addition, it is interesting cooperation in the oil and gas sector. In Uzbekistan, the company "LUKOIL" is developing gas fields. We produce equipment, technology for the extraction and processing of hydrocarbons. We agreed to expand cooperation in the field of culture and education. I am sure that the development vector that the leaders of our two states give us will allow the Tyumen and Tashkent regions to use the existing potential for expanding cooperation, commented Alexander Moor on the signing.

According to Gulomzhon Ibragimov, the Tyumen region is a large region, interesting for collaboration. The agreement reflects all areas where we can cooperate in the future. Next year we will start the creation of a wholesale distribution center for the supply of our vegetables and fruits. We discussed the creation of joint ventures for the processing of agricultural products. This agreement will provide an opportunity to interact more actively, he said.

In total, following a business breakfast, 8 interregional agreements and 2 agreements between the companies were signed.
