The investment potential of the Tyumen region is presented at the House of German Economy

In Moscow, in the House of German Economy, a business breakfast Localization 2020 was held. The event was organized by the consulting company Schneider Group and the Government of the Tyumen region with the support of the Investment Agency of the Tyumen Region Fund and the Agency for Infrastructure Development of the Tyumen Region JSC.

Experts discussed the main topic of the event - localization of production in Russia taking into account regional characteristics, and shared information about the opportunities, business processes and risks that accompany the process of organizing a new business.

The Deputy Governor of the Tyumen region, Eduard Bakiyev, in his welcoming remarks noted the fruitful work of the region in attracting investment in recent years; Igor Borisov, Deputy Head of the Tyumen Region Investment Agency Fund, spoke about measures to support production localization projects provided by the Government of the Tyumen region; Alexander Vasiliev, Deputy General Director of the Agency for Infrastructure Development of the Tyumen Region, presented the audience the relevant cases of business projects that have already been implemented in the Tyumen region and outlined the possibilities for localizing production at the industrial parks of the region.

From the side of the business community, representatives of KNAUF Insulation Tyumen LLC and the Association of Industrial Parks made presentations.

Schneider Group partner Thomas Mundry in his speech touched on the legal features of doing business in Russia, and also outlined the difficulties and fears of potential investors in the Russian economy. Business Development Director of BARAN GROUP S. Uryupichev in his report he dedicated the problems of coordinating the construction of industrial facilities.

At the end of the event, B2B negotiations were held with representatives of commercial companies and associations that showed interest in the Tyumen region.
