27 October 2020
The 3D audio series, created by residents of the Tyumen Technopark, entered the top 5 of the Rock & Book Reader's Award in the category "Best Voice Acting in the Genre of Fiction" according to the literary portal LiveLib.
The War of the Worlds audio series based on the novel by H.G. Wells was produced by Impulse (a joint venture between the production studio Redot and the Zvukarnya project) for LitRes, the largest representative of the electronic and audiobooks market in Russia and the CIS.
Modern technologies and knowledge of neuropsychology allowed the development team to completely immerse the listener in the atmosphere of the piece, creating a full-fledged sound environment. In this case, the brain itself completes the visual and tactile picture. The new format appealed to both fans of Wells's classic work and fans of modern technology.
According to Olga Prostneva, director of the West Siberian Innovation Center, the development of the Tyumen Technopark residents has great commercial prospects: “The project created by Tyumen developers has received recognition from the largest recommendation service LiveLib, it was warmly received by the audience, the new genre meets the trends of the time and readers' requests. We can say that the market has unambiguously accepted the product, and now the only question is to properly scale the business. "
The Impulse company became a resident of the Tyumen Technopark in August 2020, now innovators are preparing to enter the English-speaking market and are developing their own mobile application.
The Rock & Book Voting for Best Audiobooks took place from September 15 to October 15 on the LiveLib website. In total, 113 nominees competed for the victory - about 15 applicants for each nomination.
