Tyumen Region Industrial Production Index for 2019

The Tyumen Region Industrial Production Index for 2019 increased by 8.1% compared to 2018.
Industrial growth was mainly provided by the development of manufacturing industries - 114.9%. At the same time, the highest growth rates were observed in the production of chemicals and chemical products (189.7%), finished metal products (126.1%), medicines and materials used for medical purposes (120.5%), coke and oil products ( 114.6%), motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (113.0%), rubber and plastic products (108.7%), other non-metallic mineral products (107.7%), paper and paper products (105%).
“All the numbers indicate that the region’s economy is growing steadily, despite global macroeconomic factors. It is industry that occupies a leading place in the economy of the Tyumen region. It accounts for 35% of the gross regional product. The most important task is to maintain this growth, support entrepreneurial initiative and continue to create comfortable conditions for doing business, ”said Tyumen Oblast Governor Alexander Moor.
