“The UMNIK program is one of the most effective tools used at the regional level to find and support young innovative teams. Since 2010, more than 1800 applications have been submitted for the competition, 355 Tyumen projects have received support from the Fund, and the total amount of grants has amounted to more than 150 million rubles, ”said Alexander Sakevich, representative of the Innovation Promotion Fund in the Tyumen Region.
Applications are accepted on the contest website https://umnik.fasie.ru/tyumen/ in six areas: digital technologies, medicine and health-saving technologies, new materials and chemical technologies, new devices and intelligent manufacturing technologies, biotechnologies and resource-saving energy.
The main prize of the competition is a grant in the amount of 500,000 rubles. for the implementation of a scientific and innovative project.
According to Lev Malishevsky, the head of the IT company Brain Limited, a resident of the Tyumen Technopark business incubator, participation in the program gives young scientists a unique chance to put their scientific idea into practice: “Thanks to the Innovation Support Fund, I was able to assemble a team, create a prototype of a portable electrocardiograph and test it in real conditions. The application for the competition is not easy to prepare, but real. A detailed instruction regulates all the details, down to the minimum and maximum number of characters for each item, but if you think about it, such a serious approach makes you rethink your project and adjust expectations from it. "
Applications will be accepted until October 26, and the winners will be determined on November 25-26 at the Tyumen Technopark.
