The predominant product groups in the export structure are: ferrous metal products, equipment and mechanical devices; in the structure of imports, the main share falls on equipment and mechanical devices, electrical machines, products from ferrous metals.

On February 2-4, 2012, in order to study the experience of creating and developing a petrochemical cluster, a delegation of the Government of the Tyumen region together with Tobolsk-polymer LLC paid a visit to the Republic of Singapore. The delegation visited a number of high-tech enterprises in the petrochemical cluster, such as: Jurong International (the largest consultant in the field of creating industrial parks) and JurongIsland (the world hub of the petrochemical industry).

November 25, 2013 in Moscow, the Governor of the Tyumen region V.V. Yakushev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Singapore, Ms. Lim Kheng Hua. During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for strengthening economic ties, creating conditions for expanding cooperation in the field of design, housing and social facilities, creating a platform for interaction between small and medium-sized enterprises and a number of other issues. According to the Governor, petrochemistry, oilfield services, the creation of industrial parks, cooperation in the healthcare sector and other sectors of the economy are of interest for the development of cooperation. The governor invited Ms. Lim Kheng Hua and Singaporean businessmen to make a study trip to the Tyumen region in 2014.

From September 29 to October 5, 2014, a delegation of the Tyumen region paid a visit to the Republic of Singapore to train representatives of the executive authorities of the Tyumen region under the program "Long-term planning for the development of territories" in order to expand the skills of specialists, adapt to new economic and social conditions and conduct new professional activities , including taking into account international requirements and standards, the effective implementation of existing powers in a certain field of activity. The internship was carried out in the following areas: Construction and Housing and Public Utilities, Education, Health Care, Investments and Industry.

On October 19, 2015, Singapore Trade Attaché Ms. Gwyneth Tan and Trade and Investment Advisor Arthur Karlov visited the Singapore Embassy in Moscow. During the negotiations, the possibility of Singapore's participation in the implementation of the following projects was discussed:

- Industrial park DSK-500. Juron company will consider the option of cooperation.

- Airport "Roshchino". Singapore company can act as an operator. Singapore Changi Airport is planning an expansion.

- An interesting project in the field of housing and communal services: water treatment. Singapore is Asia's largest exporter of water.

- Interested in cooperation in tourism.
