For reference: In 2018, the foreign trade turnover of the Tyumen region with Belgium amounted to 276 050.82 thousand US dollars, including export - 231 823.05 thousand US dollars, import –44 227.77 thousand US dollars.

On November 13-14, 2014, a delegation of the Trade and Economic Representation of the Flemish Region at the Embassy of Belgium in the Russian Federation paid a visit to the city of Tyumen.
The delegation of the Flemish region of Belgium: Attaché for Economics and Trade of the Flanders of Belgium (Moscow) Andre de Reik and the Commissioner for Trade and Investment of the Representative Office of Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels (Nizhny Novgorod) A.V. Emelyanov. During the visit, the delegation met with the management of Bentec Drilling and Oilfield Systems LLC, visited the enterprises of the Starobotobolsky industrial center, including: Antipinsky Oil Refinery CJSC, Baker Hughes cable production plant, Schlumberger Technological Company LLC ”, CJSC“ FATUM ”, as well as with representatives of the Department of Investment Policy and State Support of Entrepreneurship of the Tyumen Region and the Administration of Tyumen.
The main areas of cooperation between the Tyumen region and Belgium, according to Andre de Reik, are: petrochemicals, the production of building materials, the food industry (in particular, the production of packaging for food products), the logistics sector.
Along with the listed official and business meetings, the Belgian delegation visited the Tyumen Technopark, met with residents of the business incubator.

The purpose of the visit was the establishment and development of economic relations between the Tyumen region and Belgium.
The Belgian delegation included such well-known companies as Depicon, Brighteye, Xenics, AcmisGroup, Barco. A total of 11 companies of various fields of activity - representatives of the Belgian region of Flanders. Belgian entrepreneurs arrived with the intention of finding reliable partners in the Tyumen Region.
On June 2, 2015, a round table was organized for the Belgian delegation with representatives of the Government of the Tyumen Region, the Administration of the city of Tyumen, and the Tyumen Customs. The round table was attended by the leaders of industry unions. The members of the Belgian delegation were acquainted with the investment projects of the region, as well as with the support measures provided by the regional government. The head of the Tyumen Customs provided information on the structure of trade and introduced the main figures of export-import operations between the Tyumen region and the Kingdom of Belgium. After the round table, the Exchange of Prospects for Cooperation between the Tyumen Region and Belgium was held, where Tyumen entrepreneurs met with representatives of Belgian companies. From the Tyumen region, 42 companies took part in the B&B negotiations.Tyumen enterprises expressed particular interest in cooperation with companies offering solutions in the field of automation of production, equipment for equipping helipads, flight simulators, as well as equipment for equipping slaughterhouses and meat shops. The representative of the logistics company in Belgium held talks with large companies in Tyumen, exporting.
Within the framework of the visit, individual negotiations were organized for the Belgian delegation, as well as a meeting with members of the West Siberian Legal Chamber, a visit to the Regional Scientific Library, negotiations with the leadership of Arsib Holding, a meeting with members of the Tyumen Region IT Directors club.

On March 26-28, 2018, the representatives of Belgium as part of the delegation of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce paid a visit. The delegation was led by the First Vice-President of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Russia, Senior Vice-President of Schneider Electric, president of the company in Russia and the CIS Johan Vanderplaetse, General Director, Head of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Russia Oleg Prozorov. The delegation also included: Customs Advisor to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium Robin Machils, Trade Representative of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium Gerard Segers, Heads of leading companies in Belgium and Luxembourg (ACCUMALUX GROUP, By-Cast NV, Solvay, Astron).
The main purpose of the visit: getting to know the investment opportunities and economic achievements of the Tyumen region, strengthening trade and economic ties.
At an official meeting with Deputy Governor of the Tyumen Region V.M. Shumkov held a discussion of promising projects and plans for trade and economic cooperation between enterprises of the Tyumen region, Belgium, Luxembourg, as well as the possibility of attracting European investment in existing projects of the Tyumen region.
A cooperation agreement was signed between the Union of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Tyumen Region and the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Russia.
Within the framework of the visit, a meeting of the delegation of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber with the Director of the Department of Health of the Tyumen Region I. B. Kulikova, with the leadership of GAUZ TO “MKMC“ Medical City ”, visiting such facilities of the Medical City as the Radiological Center, Design Bureau No. 1, MSC“ Oilman.
At the round table “Prospects for cooperation between Tyumen and European companies”, which was held at the West Siberian Innovation Center on March 27, 2018, enterprises of the Tyumen region discussed promising areas of bilateral cooperation with representatives of Belgian and Luxembourg companies.
In accordance with the program of the visit, representatives of the delegation visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Tyumen Region, examined the sites of industrial parks, and visited the Antipinsky Oil Refinery.
As part of the cultural program for the delegation, an excursion to the multimedia historical park “Russia - My History” was organized, as well as a sightseeing tour of the city of Tyumen.
On July 19, 2019, the Embassy of Belgium in Moscow hosted a meeting of the Deputy Governor of the Tyumen Region, the head of the Representative Office of the Government of the Tyumen Region in the state authorities of the Russian Federation, E. M. Bakiev with the Ambassador of Belgium to Russia, Rezhibo Jean-Arthur. The parties discussed the prospects for economic, investment and humanitarian cooperation.
