The work of regional offices in Kazakhstan and China will bring the region 30 new contracts
By the middle of next year, Tyumen companies will conclude a total of about 30 contracts for the export of their products abroad. The plans were announced by Sergei Polukhin, head of the Export Support Center of the Tyumen Region, which is part of the West Siberian Innovation Center.
Three representative offices of the Tyumen region, opened by the regional government in 2019 in Kazakhstan and China, help manufacturers to enter new markets: two started working in Nursultan and Almaty, and another in Shanghai. Each of the units oversees different areas, depending on which products may be most in demand in a particular country.
“The CPE actively supports representative offices by organizing the supply of product samples and advising managers working with local customers. Only in Nursultan, thanks to our cooperation, about 20 Tyumen manufacturers have already presented their products. We expect that by the middle of next year, companies will conclude a total of about 30 export contracts, ”said Sergei Polukhin.
Also, the tasks of the units include maintaining the work of expositions, where representatives of foreign business can study the products of Tyumen producers. The representative office in Shanghai is primarily focused on the promotion of food products, which are in good demand in China. And in Kazakhstan there is a special interest in engineering, metalworking and similar products.
In addition to updating the expositions, “branches” also organize negotiations of Tyumen exporters with potential partners, and monitor local tender sites that might be of interest to enterprises.
“Our region is able to export not only raw materials and energy resources. It is pleasant that today more and more SME representatives are beginning to feel confident in foreign markets. More than 160 companies have already received assistance in promoting their products abroad. At the end of 2019, the volume of export-supported products by the CPE will be more than three million dollars, ”added Sergey Polukhin.
The Export Support Center of the Tyumen Region is engaged in the development of foreign economic activity of regional manufacturers within the framework of the national project “International Cooperation and Export”.
