Tyumen region and Kyrgyzstan agreed on comprehensive cooperation
As part of the VIII Russian-Kyrgyz Interregional Conference, an agreement was signed between the Government of the Tyumen Region and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on cooperation in the trade, economic, scientific, technical and socio-humanitarian fields.
The Tyumen Region and the Kyrgyz Republic have a good potential for the development of trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation. This was stated by the governor of the Tyumen region, Alexander Moore, talking to journalists during a working visit to Bishkek.
Kyrgyzstan, of course, is interested in expanding trade and economic ties with Russia and, in particular, with the Tyumen region. This was discussed at the meeting of Alexander Moore with the Republic's Minister of Economy Oleg Pankratov. The possibility of using the geographical position of Kyrgyzstan to expand the supply of Tyumen products to China was also discussed.
The conference also signed an agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan and the Russian company, which is building a number of logistics complexes in our country, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The overall goal is to accumulate agricultural products produced by small and medium Kyrgyz enterprises for supply to the Russian market.
“I think our region could take part in this project. Moreover, the possibility of building a large trade and distribution center in the Tyumen region is already being discussed, in order to be able to supply products from Kyrgyzstan and other countries of Central Asia, ”said the governor.
Speaking about the humanitarian cooperation between the Tyumen region and Kyrgyzstan, the head of the region recalled that today 70 Kyrgyz students study at Tyumen universities.
"Taking into account the participation of Tyumen State University in the federal program" 5-100 "and the prospects of creating in the Tyumen region, the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug a single scientific and educational center, the cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in this direction is good potential for development, ”the governor believes.
