According to the statistics, in 2009 in the Tyumen region the number of companies with foreign capital has increased by 13,7%. The main countries-investors are Germany, Britain, China, Cyprus, Netherlands and others.

Top five russian regions for quality of life in the first quarter of 2006-2010: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow region, Tyumen region and Ugra. Implementation of investment projects of the Tyumen region
Currently five investment projects under the agreement with the Government of the Tyumen region implemented. According to the reports for the 2009, all holders of investment projects of the Tyumen region agreed indicators were achieved.
New investment projects
Today, the Deputy Governor Alexander Moor and Director of Department of Investment Policy and State Support of Enterprising Vadim Shumkov visited the construction site of the Exprof Company. It is planned to implement an investment project by the processing of polyvinylchloride at the site. The volume of investment could reach about 750 million rubles.
Industry in the Tyumen region on rise
By information of the head of the department of state industry department Andrew Sanosian, the index of industrial production in the Tyumen region in May was 120.5% compared to May of last year. In total for the five months increase amounted to 123.2%. Indexes in manufacturing industries such as food processing, wood products increased.
