Cooperation with Indonesia
According to the Ural Customs Administration, at the end of 2019, the foreign trade turnover of the Tyumen region with Indonesia amounted to 1,483.2 thousand US dollars , including export - 1309.35 thousand US dollars , import - 173.85 thousand US dollars .
For reference: in 2018, the foreign trade turnover of the Tyumen region with Indonesia amounted to 1243.19 thousand US dollars, including export - 990.49 thousand US dollars, import - 252.7 thousand US dollars.
The predominant product groups in the export structure are: electrical machinery, equipment, mechanical devices (84-85 groups of foreign trade activities); in the structure of imports, the main share falls on musical instruments (92 TN FED).
On February 17-19, 2015, in the framework of participation in the II Investment Forum, the delegation of the Indonesian Embassy in the Russian Federation led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Jauhari Oratmangun visited for the first time the Tyumen Region, the city of Tyumen. The delegation of the Embassy of Indonesia, who visited the Tyumen region: consul for economic and visa issues of the Embassy of Indonesia in the Russian Federation Kiki Tjahjo Kusprabovo and an employee of the economic department of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in the Russian Federation.
Within the framework of this visit, the Ambassador of Indonesia personally met with the Governor of the Tyumen Region V.V. Yakushev, participation in the Forum and the Round Table, a general acquaintance with the potential of the Tyumen region in various industries and agriculture of the Tyumen region. The delegation of the Embassy of Indonesia visited Bentek Drilling & Oilfield Systems LLC, got acquainted with the enterprises of the Starobotobolsky industrial center. Met with the Head of the Administration of Tyumen A.V. Moor and authorized employees of the City Administration. During meetings with officials and businessmen of the Tyumen region, the Ambassador of Indonesia expressed interest in developing several areas of cooperation with the Tyumen region. In particular, joint projects in the field of woodworking may enter the sphere of interests of the Indonesian business,food industry, fish processing industry, as well as partnership in the oil and gas industry - deliveries to Indonesia of drilling rigs produced at Tyumen enterprises. In addition to the above, the Ambassador emphasized the interest in the participation of the Indonesian side in the project for the construction of a railway on the Yamal Peninsula.
In addition to the manufacturing sector, the Ambassador of Indonesia expressed his intention to develop cooperation in the field of education and tourism.
Sharing his impressions of participation in the II Tyumen Investment Forum, the Ambassador of Indonesia noted that the Investment Forum is an excellent platform for discussing specific projects with the leadership of ASEAN member countries.
The Ambassador of Indonesia also met with students of Tyumen State University, made a presentation about modern Indonesia, its integration in the world and answered numerous questions from students.
On October 20, 2015, a working meeting was held between representatives of the Government of the Tyumen Region with Minister Advisor Mr. Kiki T. Kusprabovo and Second Secretary Arif R. Bakhtiar at the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow. The meeting discussed the prospects of cooperation between the Tyumen region and Indonesia. Representatives of the embassy proposed to cooperate with the provinces of Indonesia, as well as expressed their interest in cooperation in the field of education.
On March 4, 2016, Mr. Kiki T. Kusprabovo , Advisor to the Minister of the Indonesian Embassy in the Russian Federation, and Arif R. Bakhtiar, Second Secretary of the Indonesian Embassy in the Russian Federation, took part in the III Tyumen Investment Forum.
On March 20-22, 2017, the Tyumen region, the city of Tyumen, was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Russian Federation Mohamad Wahid Supriyadi. The purpose of the visit of the delegation of the Embassy of Indonesia is to get acquainted with the region, to establish contacts for the further development of cooperation in the trade, economic, scientific, social and cultural spheres.
In accordance with the program of the visit, an official meeting of the Governor of the Tyumen Region V.V. Yakushev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Indonesia to the Russian Federation Mohamad Wahid Supriyadi. At the meeting V.V. Yakushev emphasized that, despite the considerable remoteness of the Tyumen region from Indonesia, the development of business relations with the Indonesian Embassy in the Russian Federation and business circles is an important area for the region. The head of the region proposed to consider the creation of joint projects with the Indonesian business in the fields of oil and gas engineering, instrument making and oilfield services based on the Bogandinsky industrial park of the Tyumen region.
In turn, Mohamad Wahid Supriadi expressed interest in establishing and developing cooperation between Indonesia and the Tyumen region, including the possible implementation of joint projects, and invited the delegation of the Tyumen region to attend the Indonesia Festival, which will be held in August 2017 in Moscow with the participation of four hundred representatives of Indonesian enterprises .
In the future, it is planned to maintain contacts with the Embassy of Indonesia in the Russian Federation in order to attract entrepreneurs interested in cooperation, expand trade, economic and humanitarian relations, and implement joint projects.
On July 16, 2019, representatives of the Government of the Tyumen Region took part in Moscow in a business breakfast organized by Delovaya Rossiya with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Indonesia to Russia, Wahid Supriyadi. The business breakfast was dedicated to the development of Russian-Indonesian trade, economic and business cooperation. As promising areas, the parties noted cooperation in the field of fisheries, digital technologies, and intensification of interaction between the Indonesian small and medium-sized business association.
