Cooperation with Germany
According to the Ural Customs Administration, the foreign trade turnover of the Tyumen Region with the Federal Republic of Germany for 12 months of 2019 amounted to 472 641.59 thousand US dollars , of which export - 111 100.56 thousand US dollars, import - 361 541.03 thousand US dollars.

Germany is consistently among the main foreign trade partners of the Tyumen region.
The most long-term cooperation in the foreign economic and humanitarian spheres is rightfully regional cooperation between the Tyumen region and Lower Saxony. The main areas of joint work were formulated on May 21, 1992, in the Joint Statement on Partnership Cooperation between the Tyumen Region (Russian Federation) and Lower Saxony (Federal Republic of Germany) and signed by the Heads of regions.
During an official meeting on October 5, 2006, Governor of the Tyumen Region V.V. - Construction of a finished goods warehouse and expansion of a training center (including the construction of a training rig) in Tyumen (KCA Deutag). Volume of investments - 130 million rubles;
- An enterprise with German investments, LLC Bentek Drilling & Oilfield Systems. The amount of invested funds amounted to about 800 million rubles (0.78 billion rubles);
- A plant for the production of perforated shaped charges and special detonating cords in the Nizhnyavtinsk municipal district of Dinaenergetics Sibir LLC, investment volume - 720 million rubles;
- “Sibshvank” (production of heating devices for general purposes); - "Big Dachman" (production of cages for poultry farms);
- “MC Bauhemi” (manufacturers of building chemistry materials) and a number of other enterprises with German investments.
Representatives of German companies operating in the region confirm that their decision to invest in projects in the Tyumen region was influenced by the quality of work with investors and the attitude of the authorized bodies of state power of the Tyumen region, their desire to help resolve all emerging issues.
Collaboration continues at the present time.
For three years, 2015-2017, on the basis of the Agrotechnological College in Yalutorovsk, together with the Doyle Nienburg Academy (Lower Saxony), a project for training personnel for agriculture using the elements of dual education based on the experience of Germany was successfully implemented. Expanding the possibilities of practical training for bilateral educational exchanges of young entrepreneurial personnel, the delegation of the German-Russian Forum visited the Tyumen region, the cities of Tyumen and Tobolsk on October 23-26, 2018 . In the framework of cooperation with the Tyumen region and other regions of Russia in the economic and humanitarian spheres , December 3-4, 2018, the Prime Minister of Lower Saxony Stefan Weil paid a working visit to Moscow.

In the framework of the Joint Statement on Cooperation in Foreign Economic and Humanitarian Spheres between the Governments of the Tyumen Region and Lower Saxony (signed in May 1992) in 2019A joint educational project for small and medium producers and farmers in the region to improve the quality of milk and cheese production was implemented. In August 2019, on the basis of the Agrotechnological College of the city of Yalutorovsk, Tyumen Region, the first module (in the course of three more modules) was launched. In October-December 2019, Tyumen farmers practiced in private cheese dairies and ecological courtyards of Lower Saxony. Master classes on the production of both hard and soft grades were held. As part of the teacher training project, from August 21 to September 1, 2019 , five German teachers from municipal secondary schools in the Tyumen Region successfully completed a language training in Lower Saxony. The Ministry of Education of Lower Saxony granted them scholarships.
On September 18-20, 2019, the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany Matthias Kruse visited the Tyumen region.
