Cooperation with the Czech Republic
According to the Ural Customs Administration of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, the foreign trade turnover of the Tyumen region with the Czech Republic for 12 months (January-December) of 2019 amounted to 8 331.94 thousand US dollars, of which export - 580.35 thousand US dollars, import - 7 751, 59 thousand US dollars.

The main product groups in the structure of exports of the Tyumen region to the Czech Republic: 44 group of foreign trade activities “Wood and wood products”, 29 group of foreign trade activities “Organic chemical compounds”.
In the structure of imports of the Czech Republic to the Tyumen region, the main share falls on 85 group of foreign trade activities "Electric Machines and Equipment", 84 group of foreign trade activities "Boilers, equipment and mechanical devices, their parts", 25 group of foreign trade activities "Salt, sulfur, earth and a rock". On March 30-April 1, 2009, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Russia, Miroslav Kostelka, was accompanied by Czech businessmen. The main purpose of the visit of the Czech delegation is to give a new impetus to the expansion of bilateral relations between the Tyumen region and the Czech Republic, including: the creation of joint ventures in various industries, the promotion of products, the development of tourism / educational tourism, the participation of schoolchildren and students in scientific, technical and educational projects.
On October 19, 2012 in Moscow, a meeting was held between the Deputy Governor of the Tyumen Region, the head of the Representative Office of the Government of the Tyumen Region in state authorities P.V. Tarakanov with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Russia Peter Collarge on issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in various sectors of the economy.

During the event, the following areas of cooperation were discussed: the construction of brick factories with the participation of Czech companies, the supply of electric vehicles (electric buses), agricultural machinery and equipment for processing agricultural products, the solution of gasification of municipalities (supply of compact fuel sources), as well as cooperation with credit organizations of the Czech Republic on the issue financing of road construction facilities.
Governor of the Tyumen region V.V. Yakushev noted that cooperation of the Tyumen region with the Czech Republic should be developed not only in the economic sphere, but also in education, culture, and tourism.
On June 18-20, 2014, a delegation of the Czech Republic headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Russia Vladimir Remek paid a visit to the Tyumen Region. The delegation included representatives of Czech companies: an aviation enterprise, engineering, metallurgical and other industries. Representatives of Czech enterprises visited the industrial zone of Tyumen, the Baker Hughes cable factory, the Tyumen plywood factory, the UTair-Engineering airline company and the UTair Training Center. Tyumen and Czech entrepreneurs took part in the Contact Exchange.
In addition, a business meeting was held with the Deputy Governor, Director of the Department of Investment Policy and State Support of Entrepreneurship of the Tyumen Region V.M. Shumkov. During the official meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Russia Vladimir Remek recalled that cooperation between the Czech Republic and the Tyumen region successfully developed in Soviet times and continues now. So, for example, equipment for the Tyumen oil and gas enterprises was delivered from the Czech Republic to Tyumen. As part of the construction and equipment of the new building of the Tyumen Drama Theater, the Czech company Sigma supplied special equipment.

On June 7, 2016, a delegation of the Czech Republic visited Tyumen, which included: the head of the military burial department of the Czech Defense Ministry Pavel Filipek, the military attache of the Czech Embassy in Moscow Thomas Zipfel, the head of the Russian military center under the Government of the Russian Federation V.A. Kharkov, head of the department of the Association "War Memorials" A.V. Zhermelev. The purpose of the visit of the Czech delegation is the implementation of Russian-Czech agreements on the installation of a memorial to Czech legionnaires who fought on the territory of the Russian Federation during the Civil War.
In 2017, representatives of the Czech company TEDOM as twice visited the Tyumen region in order to study the region and negotiate with representatives of the executive authorities of the Tyumen region to localize the production of cogeneration plants in the Tyumen region.
On October 25-26, 2017, a delegation of the Consul General of the Czech Republic visited Yekaterinburg in the Tyumen Region. Based on the results of the meetings, agreements were reached on further cooperation in the field of international and foreign economic relations, strengthening economic, cultural, scientific and educational ties, as well as the development of tourism.
On May 28-29, 2018, representatives of the Czech company Zimatechnik visited the Tyumen region in order to negotiate and consider the possibility of implementing an investment project in the Tyumen region. Interaction in terms of monitoring the Tyumen market and the needs for goods of the Czech company Zimatechnik continued in 2019 and 2020.
